Recently I found caterpillar on my garden plants and there were not pest until eat my plants ! when I found my Myoporum floribundum I thought it was drying out and didn't much care about eaten leaves. Because as I grow the plants outside I tried to accept living with other natural lives. This is when I first thought have to take some reaction.
This time I brought Myoporum floribundum to inside and looked inside properly with magnifying glasses. I found one small cater..pillar - like insect but it wasn't look that bad... just tiny bug.. It looks like this (left below picture). But some days after I found one the other one which used to found at the garden. I think this is trouble ! (right below picture)
I used this website to identify the caterpillar, Butterfly house (http://lepidoptera.butterflyhouse.com.au/none/none.html). I think I found that as Acalolepta mixta. Its common name is Fig Longicorn Beetle or Bardee. Bardee is known as grape pest but I could find many picture which eating any plants leaves !
actually a bit later I had researched I am very confused ! I am not sure about that larva is Acalolepta mixta. But one thing important thing is, if you see them, please release them get feel free.. or do some reaction you own !
